Elo elo

My first ever blog is going to be a poem as I just got all my wisdom teeth out and not feeling up to too much else!! I wrote this poem last feb. on the plane on my way to beautiful, amazing, breathtaking, funnnn New Zealand.  Pondering life once again...

I used to live amongst the mountains
Throwing pennies in big wish fountains
Sit by the window, steady is the rain
Trying to deciefer these growing pains
The subtle ache, can't comprehend
So I try to think of ways to mend

I love those trees, tall as the sky
Can't help but thinking i'm living a lie
My destiny is out there, roaming around
Just patiently waiting around to be found

So gone is the comfort of my ever green canopy
I've been looking for ways to complete me you see
Those never changing mountains, nowhere to be seen
A memory for now, like that of my teens

I've got wind blowing salt through my hair
Maybe wasting time, not sure if I care
Surfers running to that blue green water
And it seems to be getting hotter and hotter

So I guess for now, I've found my place
The start of many obsticles to face
Cause when everyone else has landed the job
I don't wanna be left looking like a knob
No one else seemed troubled figuring it out
So why am I always left with lingering doubt

I could do this or i could do that
But i'm scared to chills of getting stuck in a trap
A steady job that crushes my will
But somehow I gotta pay the bills
Maybe i'm unrealistically wanting
Maybe a trivial life isn't so daunting
No, not yet, not ready to toss in that flag
To give up my dreams, now that would be a drag.

  1. Sarah...
I didn't know you were into rhyme
With all your activities I didn't think you'd have time.
What with cooking and crafting, Rosie and Chance
I don't see where you have time to change your pants.
But keep up the great work and soon you'll see
OH my grab the diaper... Henry's taking a pee!

    Oncle Mike ;)
